List of scientists who disagree with the scientific consensus on global warming

75653337_1304605139735803_8533122577084710912_o Wiki seems to be having one of it's bouts of madness; see [[WP:FRAM]] for part of it. The bozos decided to rename "Climate change" as "Climate change (general concept)" and now the fuckwits have decided to delete "List of scientists who disagree with the scientific consensus on global warming". I despair sometimes; soon we'll be left with nothing but Pokemon cards. Archive.is has a reasonably up to date version here should you or I ever want it.

Fortunately it hardly matters any more. The web is saturated with mostly sensible things about GW.

Update: the dullards at the GWPF have finally noticed and whinged about it. Yawn.

Never mind, there's always RationalWiki or the Oregon Project depending on your tastes.

I really have to comment on the constancy of mice and men. Mickey Mouse signed both the Oregon Project petition and the recent affirmation of the consensus.

Make up your mind, Mickey!!!

The real question is how many of the signatories read either.

Yes, the renamering is an earnest, long-winded and futile attempt to give new readers what they're looking for when they use "climate change" and "global warming" interchangeably, not realising they're actually different. Life's too short.

The deletion of "List of scientists who disagree with the scientific consensus on global warming" looks much more sensible, removing a long-running inflated list based on original research – as Bish said; "No prejudice to the creation of a list of climate scientists who disagree with the scientific consensus on global warming", but even that would involve editors having to evaluate the claimed disagreement.

Note: Bish is not the notorious blogger Bishop Hill named after one of the [[Lomond Hills]].

Ah, hello DS. Welcome back :-)

I knew Bish wasn't BH. From the little even I know of BH it isn't really possible to imagine him as a wiki admin.

Re the list, I was going to say but forgot so I'll say it here: to some extent the zealots for stuffing the list shot themselves in the foot. By insisting on a ridiculously wide defn of the word "scientist" and refusing any attempts to rein it in, they made the page vulnerable.
